Marvel Legendary Game

Overview

In Legendary, players take on the roles of Marvel heroes, including the Avengers and X-Men, and team up to defeat an evil Mastermind.

The players have to defeat the likes of Magneto, Loki, Dr. Doom, or Red Skull to win the game - if they do, the players are ranked by the most Victory Points accumulated during play.

Because of this, Legendary has a cooperative feel.

For Ages: 14 to 114

This game copies what better deck building games have done, and is far to easy given what it's trying to do.  I found little challenge here.  I enjoy Marvel's characters and found some novelty there but it soon wore off.  I did not enjoy this one enough to purchase and bring home to the family, so I have not played with my kids...though I imagine my kids 9+ could handle it just fine.

This game is a lot of fun and brings Marvel superheroes to life. What makes this game special is that you fight as a team (1-5 players) against an evil super villain mastermind controlled by the board game itself. By choosing random villains, evil schemes, and heroes to fight with ensures that no two games you play ever happen exactly the same way. The rule book also provides helpful tips to increase the difficulty of the game for adults or make it easier for children. The set-up for all the cards does take a little while, but the game play is definitely worth it. Whether you're a super hero fanatic or just looking for a fun family or party board game to play with friends, this game encourages a competitive yet team oriented experience that's very unique. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for "something new" that they haven't played before.

it takes a while to set up. this game puts you against the masterminds, and other players. It's one game where the game can beat you. My wife and daughter, actually liked it, so it probably is very fun for those with beginners knowledge of super heroes.

This game is a lot of fun!  Only downside is initial box/card organization takes a while and then you're left with a mostly empty box which gives me a lot of hope for expansions!  I bought this and played four or five games of it with my friends that night and I'm looking forward to playing some more.   Gameplay is similar to Ascension without being derivative.  It's a deck building game so some elements will remain true to it.   Things it could use: Randomizers for each part of the game, Heroes, villains, masterminds, Henchmen and schemes.   Labeled card dividers.

Has to be my FAVORITE deck-building game. The game is different every time, based on what "scheme" you play. I've had a ton of fun playing with my husband and our friends. MUST HAVE for any Marvel fan and a GREAT addition to a deck building game player.
