Ticket to Ride Adventure Board Game

October 2, 1900 - it's 28 years to the day that noted London eccentric, Phileas Fogg accepted and then won a bet that he could travel "Around the World in 80 Days." Now, at the dawn of the century, some old friends have gathered to celebrate Fogg's impetuous and lucrative gamble - and to propose a new wager of their own. The stakes: $1 million in a winner-takes-all competition. The objective: to see the most cities in North America - in just 7 days.

Ticket to Ride is a cross-country train adventure game. Players collect train cards that enable them to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets by connecting two distant cities, and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway.

  • For 2 to 5 players ages 8 and older
  • Playing time 30-60 minutes
  • Comes with: 1 Board map of North American train routes, 240 Colored Train Cars, 110 Train Car cards, 30 Destination Tickets, 5 Wooden Scoring Markers, 1 Days of Wonder Online access number, and a Rules booklet

Great game for all ages. It can get just competitive enough and makes you use strategy and math.

This is an easy fun game.  There is some replay ability here, but for my family it began to feel very "vanilla" quickly.  This one sits on my shelf, and my family won't turn down a game if a friend suggests it, but we never pick this one up by our choice to play.  There are just better games that either offer more in a similar time frame, or the same game play in less time.  (easily played ages 8+)

Easily my game groups collective favorite game. You honestly can't go wrong with this! If you've ever wanted to know what all the fuss is about regarding this legend, check it out and you won't be disappointed! It's no wonder the millions upon millions of copies have been sold worldwide!

We have had a great time with the Scandinavian version of this game. The United States version allows for more players (other wise you can choose to play in teams). We like the combination of strategy along with learning about maps/places that is in each of these games.

Excellent game for friends and family.  Easy to learn, easy to play, not easy to win.  A great gift. Can be used in a highly competitive environment or as a means to develop cooperation to reach multiple, sometimes conflicting goals

This is a great family game or to play with friends. Its easy to learn but the fun last for many many games. I will be playing for years to come!!

Fun, fast-paced game. For me it was easier to just jump in and start playing because it sounds a lot more complicated than it is. Good quality to the cards and game tokens, and the artwork is well done. Also - several nice expansions are available if you want new boards and extra pieces. I'm only docking one star because it didn't personally grab me as much as some other games I've played. It's fun, but not one I'd go out of my way to play.

Out of the countless games we have, this one has been by far the favorite of our game friends and non-game friends alike. It's easy to teach and so much fun to play over and over again without getting sick of it! It may look intimidating or boring but after playing one game you will be hooked. Out of all the games in our closet this is the one our friends request all the time. Love it!

My husband and I really enjoy that game. It is fun and we recommend it to adults and kids too. A good way to learn some states of the USA and provinces of Canada. Looking forward for our next extension pack of India and Switzerland.

Great game for just 2 players or even more. We first played with friends, then borrowed their game, then finally had to purchase our own!
