Toys in the Attic is a testament to the survival strengths of the human nature. Even though Sara endured a horrible childhood, and it seemed as if her nightmares would be never ending, David uses his story telling abilities to pull her through. A story worth reading. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This is a Great book to say the least. Sara's character is beyond strong, after losing her mother, she endures both mental and physical abuse from her father, but when she hits her breaking point, she kills him. But her pain isn't over yet, she learns she is now pregnant with her fathers child. Will Sara be strong enough to overcome the pain she has encountered and be able to love her child, or will she give up on life it's self?
This is a very captivating story, it grabs you up and makes you wish you could save Sara. The abuse she goes through is painful and heart wrenching.

What would you do if you were molested by your drunk father, killed him, and ended up pregnant? I don't know what I would do, but this is a good book and a decent senario of what could happen...Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
