Really original, clever plot, has depth and wisdom. Memorable and worthy of a second reading. Pleasant surprise. Great characters, excellent resolution. I highly recommend this book.

Challenged my beliefs but well written and kept my interest to the end! Looking for another book by this author since I enjoyed this one so much!

I could not put this book down. It's a great story, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but a really wonderful read.

Really unusual book. Sort of like watching the TV show Dead Like Me, but with a private eye guy instead of a teenage girl. I don't think it would be to everyone's taste, but if you have any interest at all in metaphysics it's worth it. Lots of twists and turns even though I have to say I predicted too many of them, a frustration. And I would totally cast Morgan Freeman for the guide!

It was a different type of book about the main character being the victim of murder.

I found it a little tedious at times but it was different in it's approach and always left me wanting to see what was going to happen next. If you like mysteries and peeling back the layers it is a good read. I recommend this book.

The main character is not likeable and in the end I didn't care what happened to him!
