    We picked this up at a used book sale for our grandson (2). He digs it out of the book bin every time he comes over for us to read to him. After reading it, he drives the book around the room, up and down the arms of the chairs, over the couch and back to one of us to read again. Recently the book fell apart (from extended use, believe me). We will soon be replacing it with the same book. Plus, now that we know that there is a whole series of Wheelie book, we will probably be buying a couple of the others as well.

    Fun book!

    I had this shipped to my grandson who is 15 months old and it was a hit! Here is what my daughter-in-law said about it in an e-mail.

    "We got the parcel and Henry has been playing with the tractor all weekend. He likes it so much he attempted to take it with him in the tub and we had a hard time convincing him that books don't do well in water. He likes to perch on Bob's knee and "read" this "bookah" (that's how he pronounces the word 'book' :)) Very funny how something so simple can be so exciting to the little guy! Thank you for sending it!"

    Fun-even for girls!

    I bought this for my 8 month old daughter because it has some great textures in it. There's big chunky tires, bumpy soil, shiny tractor lights, and a spiky bale of hay. One of my favorite things about this book is the size of the textured areas. A lot of other books have a tiny patch of texture, but the bale of hay page takes up about 3/4th of the page which is nice.

    A better toy than book!

    My son loves that the books in this series have real working wheels. Don't look for much of a story - this is a very basic beginner book with very few words. Mostly it is a great toy to start his love of books early.

    Encourage Exploration

    Actual photographs of tractors in the field. Colors are bright and textures are good. Even my four month old niece enjoys the pictures and textures.

    Mix-up

    Um... a little mix-up here. I'm sure the kids will enjoy the nice tractor stickers. Romance readers will be disappointed, as yes, tractors are quite sexy, but there will be no romance within these covers.
