Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Mandy Cruz
Farm tractors are mighty machines. They allow farmers to pull the other heavy machines they need to maintain their farms. Farmers sit inside the cab of the tractor and drive using the steering wheel, a larger version of the one in the family car. Machines hook into the hitch on the back of the tractor. Tractors pull the planting machine that drops seeds, the spraying machine that kills weeds, and the balers that roll hay. The huge bumpy tires on tractors help them roll across the field with ease while pulling equipment behind them. Excellent color photos clearly demonstrate the use of tractors and the workings of farm equipment. This book gives a clear first look to kids who might otherwise have no prior interaction with farm equipment. Perfectly translated into Spanish so the bilingual child may perfect his skill or the monolingual child may use this book to learn words in another language. Reviewer: Mandy Cruz
