This book is primarily a tell-all about the designers and the hostess of the show Trading Spaces. While the book has a few tips and tricks, it is not about teaching skills. I¿m a huge fan of the show, so I enjoyed reading about these characters who frequent my living room. The book is put together in a colorful fashion and is fun to read. If you like the show and want to learn more about the cast, then read this book.

I totally am a fan of the show and watch it as much as possible so when the book came out I rushed to get it. Some parts of the book were really great with cute little ditties about all the great people involved but I wanted it to have more content, you know like real directions on how to make those roman shades or what glaze to use for pottery pots etc.

I have watched this show for a long time and I will never think of it the same again. I'm not trying to scare people for buying this book most of the designers have a lot of good idease. If you want to see some of them watch the show on TLC. I don't have the book but I have flipped through it at some home improvement stores and it looks really interesting, but if you want to see some of the ideas watch TLC.

I am obsessed with Trading Spaces; I watch it every chance I get. Needless to say, I bought this book ASAP. The photes and bios were great and the 'insider secrets' were rather intriguing. Unfortunately, it was missing something rather important: all of the reveals with upset couples! The reveal is the best part of the show. To purposely leave out all the negative reactions is neither honest to the readers or to yourselves.

I'm only on Paige [page] 6 and I fell in love with the book.I always read, and I'll never finish the book. Every book I got from B&N I've read, and loved.Trading Spaces is by far the best. YOU SHOULD GET IT!

What a letdown! I am a huge fan of the show but this book is strictly one more commercial and not at all what I was hoping for. From 'Navel Alerts' (discribing when and how Paige shows her navel in particular episodes!) to a 2-page 'Playboy'-type poster of Frank, the content is superfluous at best. No mentions at all about things we all want to know... Who changed their rooms back after the designers left?... Who really hated their rooms even though they pretended to like them in the thrill of the reveal?... and, Does Hildi even talk to the homeowners before she goes off on one of her decorating tantrums??? My reveal quote on this book would be 'why, oh why? (bleep)'
