    A Great Sci-Fi Read!

Transformers Beast Wars ¿The Gathering¿ is a book about Razorbeast a Maximal (good guys) imperium agent on a covert mission that leads him to Earth at 70,000 B.C. He was chronally displaced by two nanokliks. These series of events took place during the time man was first evolving from monkeys. His mission was to gather intel about the Predecon (bad guys) commander Magmatron (not Megatron). Soon Razorbeast found out that Magmatron was amassing an army of protoforms (transformers that have not ¿trans scanned¿ anything) to conquer the Tri-Predacus council and rule the transformer home world Cybertron. Along the way Razorbeast acquired some allies; Wolfang, Bonecrusher, Snarl, Ramulus, B¿ boom, and Optimus Minor. When Magmatron put this plan of his into effect, Razorbeast sent out a call for more Maximals and sought out the biggest transformers ship ever: The Ark. When the rest of the Maximals came, they gave the Predacons such a beating that their great-great-grand-protoforms (grandchildren) would feel it. So the way I see it is that Razorbeast gave Magmatron a¿Darn good licking!¿ This book I would recommend to those who fully understand the Transformers universe and Beast Wars Saga. This a book in one of the series of the Beast Wars Sagas. This is a great book for big Transformers fans or those who like a great sci-fi read.

    The Beast Wars Continue....

This series was the first Beast Wars comic to come out from IDW. It was a little confusing to figure out who was who and what was going on due to all the non-show characters who were showing up here primarily for the first time to many readers. The back-story provided by the Sourcebook, and the core BW show, really sets up the events for this arc. That being said, it reads a whole lot better after reading the backstory from the Sourcebook. For long-time fans there are some hints and references to a certain upcoming series which follows Beast Wars in the pages of this and 'The Ascending'. The Gathering continues plot threads begun by the show, and sheds more light on how upset by the current political status some of the Predacons really are. The art is awesome and gorgeous done by Don Figueroa(I THINK that's the right spelling). If you love the original Transformers and the Beast Wars show, you MUST pick this up along with the Sourcebook, and The Ascending.
