Traveling America With The Fish
Traveling America With The Fish is a large volume of poems and short stories that my father created as he traveled the country selling rare and beautiful Matryoshka dolls in malls and flea markets . Be forewarned, the work tends to skew erotic, and is not intended for the young, the tame, or the easily offended. I make no excuses for my father: he wrote what was in his heart, and he was a passionate man. This imaginative collection sat in a box for too long, and I felt it was time to share them with the world.

And yes, I am fully aware that the cover says "Gently, As In Love" and not "Traveling America With The Fish"... due to extremely frustrating technical difficulties in the publishing of this book, I had to choose to go with what I could or be unable to publish this collection. So kindly ignore the error, and use a Sharpie to correct the issue on your own, thank you. - Jeff Policoff, 2021

About the Author

Michael Edward Policoff was born February 26, 1946. He wrote throughout his life, finding his footing with poetry, exploring his world through short stories, and ultimately creating large novels. Though he was never able to find a publisher for his work, this never slowed his pace down, and he wrote until he passed away February 3, 2004. While he occasionally created lovely literature that would not cause anyone to blush, this tended to be the exception and not the rule: the author viewed the word through lust-colored glasses, and his words often expressed his playful, sensual, and at times extremely sexual interests.

Michael attended the Flint Community College. He remained in sales throughout his life in one form or another; he owned and operated a charming cigar shop turned convenient store in downtown Cleveland for many years, and eventually found himself selling stunning Russian matroyshka dolls he would travel overseas to acquire. Michael was a member of several civic groups and Jewish community groups. The common theme of the author's life was people. Never far from an easy grin, Michael loved people, and he made friends everywhere he went. He will always be missed by many.

If this volume pleases you, makes you uncomfortable, quickens your breathing, or makes you raise an eyebrow, Michael would assuredly consider that worth all of his time and effort. And if you do not enjoy erotic fiction- if explicit imagery and wicked word-play are not your bag- perhaps you would best avoid exploring the mind of this Author. It's a magical place, but it is definitely not approved for general audiences. In fact, slapping a hard "R" rating on Michael's work would likely be missing the relative intention of that "X" category. You've been warned.
