Overview

The first section introduces Nick Jordan, a young Catholic born in a fictional town in Vermont, called Larkspur. As Nick grows up he tries to think and act like everyone else but he soon discovers the world around him makes no sense to his way of thinking. When he reaches adulthood he sets out to find out why.

The second part describes his investigation into Theism and its conflict with reason.

The third and most important part is a detailed study of America's unhappy experience with drug and alcohol Prohibition. The alcohol boondoggle lasted thirteen years and spawned a huge wave of crime and corruption before Congress decided to return control to the States. On the other hand drug Prohibitionists have dug in and continued to battle against human nature for nearly a century with identical results. One trillion dollars and 20 million arrests later, drugs are here to stay - cheaper and more potent than ever before.

Find out why Prohibition never has and never will work in America.
