Jay Blakesberg is a San Francisco-based photographer, whose work has appeared in many magazines, including Guitar Player, Rolling Stone, Mojo and Harp. He has shot CD covers for many record labels including Columbia, Reprise, Arista, and Virgin Records. Jay has photographed many legendary performers including the Grateful Dead, Carlos Santana, John Lee Hooker, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, and Tom Waits to name a few. He has published 3 coffee table books of his photographs featuring The Grateful Dead, Primus, and The Flaming Lips.
Bill Bentley began his writing career in 1975 at the Austin Sun. In 1980 he became music editor of the L.A. Weekly. He was a publicist for Slash Records and eventually became Senior Vice President of PR for Warner Bros. Records for 20 years, where he worked with Elvis Costello, REM, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Eric Clapton and dozens of other artists. Currently he is publicist for Neil Young & Lou Reed, and president of Sonic Boomers. He has also produced tribute albums on Texas psychedelic musician Roky Ericson & founding Jefferson Airplane & Moby Grape member Skip Spence.
Ed Robertson is the co-founder of the Toronto based award winning rock band Barenaked Ladies. With his band, Ed has written numerous top ten hits in both Canada and the US. Playing live to fans on an arena level over the last 10 years, Ed has honed his skills as a musician, songwirter, and storyteller. Ed's first Childrens book will be released in early 2009.
