This book serves as a visual tour of Traverse City's history, exploring the community's agricultural, industrial, and social origins. Through a rare collection of vintage postcards, author C.S. Wright takes readers on an illustrated journey through the eras of development and influence that have contributed to Traverse City's distinctive culture and character.

Beautifully done, this book is a welcome addition to any library. From the binding to the postcards and captions, all of which are between 150 and 250 words, this complements other books on the area. Frankly, I have purchased several of these as gifts for friends and they have all been quite pleased with it.
