Overview

Love is the last thing on Jack Harrington's mind when he sets out to meet Andi Walsh's flight. Recently back to work after spending more than a year tending to his comatose wife, Jack is focused on getting through each day and caring for his three daughters. However, the moment he sets eyes on Andrea Walsh, the interior designer who has come to decorate the hotel his company is building in Newport, Rhode Island, Jack begins to wonder if Andi might be his second chance. After a disastrous marriage, Andi, single mom to a hearing-impaired son, isn't exactly looking for love, either, but that's what she finds with Jack. The two embark on a long-distance relationship fraught with challenges as they balance the needs of their children and dueling careers while Jack continues to care for his wife, Clare. Just when Jack thinks his life is once again settled, he is confronted with a new challenge that tests him in ways he never could've imagined, leaving him to wonder if "happily ever after" is in the cards for him.

Treading Water creates an emotional firestorm within the reader. It shines the light on the good and the bad in life and proves that one moment can change everything and it’s never too late to find love. Marie Force grabbed my heart and squeezed every ounce of emotion out of it but most importantly her monumental story left me blissful. I cannot wait for the next book in this trilogy, Marking Time."

(Treading Water) isn't your typical romance where you're positive you're going to get the happy ending you were hoping for at the beginning. It will rip your heart out at times and having you weeping for joy at others. A stunning story about learning to love again and learning when to let go to those you love.

    WOW!!

Excellent read. High emotions are constantly in motion. Family is definitely high priority along with commitment, love, and understanding. I have also read about half of the Gansett series and started Bionics last night. Marie Force definitely has a good imagination and a fantastic way of writing imagery.

After I read the McCarthy's of Gansett Island and fell in love w

After I read the McCarthy's of Gansett Island and fell in love with her characters and writing style. So I started reading this series Treading Water. This series made me cry with so much sadness for the family. Then it would spark some hope and healing only to have the wounds open again .Through out the books you see the lives of three young girls having to deal with challenges no child should have to but many do. I have read all four and she said the last book is Jills story. For me it was Kates and Reids with Jill story just beginning. The third book about Brandon was more of a spin off. and you have some great stories that still could be written from Brandon story. I really hope Someday she finishes the lives of Jill and Maggie. With the love Jill finds, Maggie new job, I just wasn't ready to see there lives stop were they did. I will keeping reading Marie Force books for they grip my heart and it seems I'm really never ready it see they stories end. Please keep writing..

    Great read

Great read! I love her books because the characters face and survive challenges that aren't caused by lying, secrets, dishonesty, and cheating on each other. 800+ pages, but the storyline moves along nicely and keeps the reader interested. Characters are all well developed and easy to relate to. I would highly recommend this book, as well as everything I've read by Marie Force.

    Read the overview

The overview will tell you everything you need to know to make a decision about whether or not to read a book. The reviews by readers simply give you an idea of people liking or disliking a book. I, for one, liked this book very much. Count me a "4 star fan".
