Nancy, George, and Bess are invited to a pirate-themed beach party, given by the wealthy grandmother of two children, Damien and Ivy, and catered by George's mother. Because all the other invitees turned down the invitation, Nancy, George, and Bess are the only guests. Damien and Ivy's cousin, grumpy six-year-old Poppy, attends too. Damien is annoyed that none of the guests is a boy until a ship with two pirates and a talking parrot sails ashore. When the children discover that the treasure chest of party favors has disappeared, Nancy's Clue Crew goes to work. Several suspects emerge, including Poppy, a pirate, and Lonny the Lake Monster. Nancy's father tells her that clues are like treasure chests because you have to keep digging to find them, so they do. In the end, of course, Nancy and her pals find the chest, arrange a party to which everyone will come, and even cheer up Poppy.     This is a great book! The mysteries really make you think, and this book is great for girls about 8-10! This mystery series is definetlly a five star

    Great book

    I purchased this book on my nook and let my 9 year old dauter read this book an she loved it she even said it was the best book she ever read she also liked the craft they had at the end i look forward to getting more boks from this series for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I dont know

    I dont know if i would wanna read this or not. I mean its not like the real nancy drew books its just a copied thing i would suggest every one type in nancy drew at the barn and noble shop and get the hidden stair case its good!!! Almost all of the origonal nancy drews are magnifacent
