Treasures of the Eucharistic Heart: Rosary Meditations
What can one say about the unchanging, all loving, and all consuming Heart of Jesus? Our Lord told St. Margaret Mary, "Behold the Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming Itself, in order to testify Its love." (cf. Autobiography of St. Margaret Mary). St. Margaret Mary describes the Heart that has spared nothing for our salvation: "I saw this divine Heart as on a throne of flames, more brilliant than the sun and transparent as crystal." St. Margaret Mary beheld the Heart of Jesus as on a throne of flames, which would explain why Jesus told the saint that His Heart has spared nothing and has consumed itself in loving souls. Is it not true, that Jesus has indeed spared nothing, giving of Himself entirely, exhausting Himself, spilling every drop of blood during His Passion and death on a tree? But for Jesus, even the horrible suffering and death he endured four us did not suffice, He gave us still more when He gifted Himself to us in the Blessed Sacrament. Those flames of love which issued forth from His Heart are the very Flames of the Holy Eucharist! Through the centuries our living Catholic Tradition, so full, so rich as it is, handed down to us a treasure trove of wisdom into the Heart of our Lord. This little book of rosary meditations contains quotes from the saints, mystics, and Doctors of the Church; jewels of wisdom, to help us contemplate and love the all consuming Heart of Jesus! Crack open the lid and jump in. Once inside, you will discover precious gems of virtue, pearls of wisdom, and fat, golden nuggets of souls made perfect in the purifying Flames of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus. Allow our Savior's Eucharistic Heart, which is incapable of change, to change your heart. Where your treasure is, there is your heart also. Luke 12: 34
