Clapton liked to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe in London, a West End restaurant styled after an American diner that opened June 14, 1971. He gave one of his old guitars to owners Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton and they hung it on the wall. A week or so later, another guitar arrived. This came from Pete Townshend of The Who.
