Roth and Worthington (both hearing and speech sciences, U. of Maryland-College Park) take into account that students are now reaching graduate school without any clinical experience, and many from other undergraduate majors besides speech- language pathology. Rather than try to catalogue the many techniques, they describe therapy targets and activities as illustrations of basic intervention practice and starting points in the therapeutic process.
