Released in 2009, Tree of Life is the second studio album from French singer/songwriter Maxim Nucci, but the first to be recorded under the guise of Yodelice, a character inspired by the films of Tim Burton, who lives in the fictional world of Spookland. Co-written with Marianne Groves, the English-language follow-up to his self-titled debut combines folk, rock, and R&B and includes the single "Sunday with a Flu" alongside a collaboration with Paul McCartney drummer Abe Laboriel, Jr.

Based on 2 cuts heard on youtube, I am so impressed that I'm going to buy this. I discovered Y on a airplane to MIA and found out that he's a fusionist...i.e. rock/classical cellist, whom I found out is a musical genius also on guitar & keyboards and one heck of a solo singer. He's got some deep qualities reminiscent of JM/Doors but moderne. Yodelice is an up and comer. He's playing an LA gig now (03Jan10) or so he told me. Remember, LaGamba discovered him first and launched his US popularity. Keep art alive, man!
