    HORRIBLE

Don't waste your money! I am very disappointed with this book I purchased by Terri Schneider. First this book, should be labled for very first time beginners, and secondly it just steals information from other books on the matter. The author is way behind the times on current trends in the sport, she hasn't raced in years, and as a coach has never developed any competitive athletes. I tried to give her the opportunity to change my mind at a recent speaking engagement in Portland. It was absolutely the most boring presentation I have ever been to, and she was completely rude and arrogant. I don't see how someone so self centered could be considered a coach. I think she is just trying to make a buck at others expense!

Great for new and experienced tri-geeks alike

Schneider makes the sport easy to understand. She gives a back to basics approach with insights that will inform even experienced triathletes. Her focus on the mental game and her tips helped me reach my goal of finishing IM Wisconsin 2011 at age 60. A must read.

    Highly Recommended

I personally recommend this book as a resource to garner information on all aspects of triathlon. Each chapter readily avails the reader to specific information related to a specific topics such as nutrition, mental training, going longer etc. I appreciate the non-technical aspect of the book. You will not find numbers crunched or power meter discussions. What you will find is the raw, down to earth material needed to approach triathlon with wisdom and confidence. I have given this book as a gift a number of times to triathletes and it has been an appreciated gift! Terri is an reliable resource with tremendous insight!
