I do not recommend this book... As a neophyte triathlete, the title of this book promised to be just what I wanted when I saw it at the bookstore. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. It is written with a plodding, self-conscious style. I am sure the author did not intend this, but the content comes across as unfocused and meandering. I got very frustrated trying to glean direct, practical information. If you are looking for good triathlon/multisports training information, advice, specific training programs, etc. written in an enjoyable but no-nonsense style buy: Training Plans for Multisport Athletes by Gale Bernhardt. It is excellent.
