Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
The prolific Brian Jacques hit the literary scene long before J.K. Rowling and has fifteen book in his saga none of which are quick reads. Fans of the "Redwall" series will enjoy this recap of some of their favorite characters among the otters who are the "ablest fighter in Mossflower." There are descriptions of the various characteristics, domains, weapons, leaders, recipes and those otters of particular distinction. Along with a description of their exploits, readers learn the fates of each hero or heroine. Also, there is a reference to the book that featured his or her adventure. For those who want to check their knowledge, there is a test and quiz (answers are provided). The final page contains a full size poster of all these great otters. Kids can take it out of the book and mount it on a wall or teachers can put it in the classroom or media center. 2003 (orig. 2002), Philomel,
