Overview

For nearly 250 years, American Presidents have been talked about by historians, political pundits, and regular Americans. In TRIBUTES AND TRASH TALK, Presidential historian Anthony Bergen, creator of the popular "Dead Presidents" Tumblr site, has sifted through the official statements, campaign speeches, autobiographies, and personal diaries of the Presidents to find out what they thought about each other.

From George Washington to Barack Obama (including Confederate President Jefferson Davis), TRIBUTES AND TRASH TALK is filled with candid comments by the Presidents about the Presidents. Bergen presents quotes that are insightful, poignant, funny, mean-spirited, bitter, and often shocking. TRIBUTES AND TRASH TALK shows that while many Presidents saw fellow members of their exclusive fraternity as heroes who inspired them, more than a few saw them as "sons of bitches".

"Tributes and Trash Talk" is an interesting, readable

"Tributes and Trash Talk" is an interesting, readable book for historians or people just interested in what our Presidents thought and said about each other. It is well-researched and makes for a perfect read on your Nook; just the sort of thing to keep your mind attended while on the go. Strongly recommended.
