Trick Baby tells the story of “White Folks,” a blue-eyed, light-haired, con-artist whose pale skin allows him to pass in the streets as a white man. Folks is tormented early in life, rejected by other children and branded a “Trick Baby,” the child conceived between a hooker and her trick. Refusing to abandon his life in the ghetto and a chance at revenge, Folks is taken under the wing of an older mentor, Blue. What happens next is not to be believed.
Only Slim could bring us the story of a hustler, forced to learn the game and rise to the top. It’s Slim’s story and he tells it in the only way he knows how, in the language of the streets.

This book turned out to be good. It started slow and boring, that's because it was opening you up to the con game. It ended leaving you asking that question, Why is it over. I wanted more. This book talked about how cruel people treated 1 person because of his skin color, but he did not give up!

This book was good, it just took forever to get to the point. The story was slow dragged. I will read another 1 of the author books. I recommend who ever read this book to ensure they have a great attention span.

An exciting and riveting book, despite the fact that it's a bit drawn out. Anyone who appreciates Iceberg's style will enjoy this book.

This book told the trails and tribulations of a man who was not excepted by his own people and could mix in with whites. Trickbaby is a must read book for any Iceburg Slim fan

I liked this one almost as much as 'Pimp', this book takes u into the main charactor,white folks, brain, living as a white man in a black world
