    More Trick than Treat

    While light and witty, there was too little substance, too few realistic characters and too many stereotypes to keep this reader interested. While good for a long airplane ride or an afternoon at the beach, this novel couldn't sustain my attention. There was a humorous plot twist at the end, and it was great fun to try and guess which hollywood-types he was lampooning but, overall,a somewhat disappointing read.

    Uproarious Novel Speaks to Gay Men Everywhere

    It's all in here - a gay man's quest for the perfect lust object. His need for love and affection. A propensity to dish. This book celebrates smart, creative gay men everywhere with an electric storyline involving fun, memorable characters - a good- natured Latino gym rat, a wildly successful TV star, an intelligent, poetic narrator. Los Angeles provides a fantastic setting for a rollercoaster ride of sex, deceit, adrenaline-producing success and delicious revenge. The real strength of this book is that it is a total hoot. It's nasty. It's fun. And great at making light of the absurdities of human nature. The only fault I found was that a couple of characters, to me, seemed a bit incongruent or unrealistic. But, gosh, what a great read.

    HOT FUN EROTIC STORY

    Ben Tyler has done a great job bringing us this novel. It was pure fun to read. I read it all day long and could not even put it down to eat. I knew from the wonderfully designed cover that it would be a super book, and I was correct. I want a sequel, Mr. Tyler, and I want it now.

    Tricks of the Trade

    This is the real deal. A gay hollywood tell-all with arousing sex and a storyline that grips and holds til the end. I can't remember when I've had so much fun reading a novel. AND I LOVE THAT COVER!

    Tricks of the Trade

    he would be Ben Tyler. Such saucy goings-on in this page-turner! The TV sitcom dad who seems so pure but is really into self-made leather videos; the screenwriter who finaces his writing as a hustler; the producers who want to same the goods of the upcoming talents. This is fast-paced, unrepentantly guilty-pleasure reading. I bought several copies for friends because I was not going to surrender my own copy so soon!
