Chapter 7 -

((Sorry for the pause in chapters. My nook got confiscated.))

Ana cringed as she heard the explosion in the room behind her. BOOM! went the phone as it was detonated from who-knows-where. Then the shink-shunk! of phone shrapnel lodging itself in the door, thankfully not deep enough to go through.
The word she had heard...'listener'...she guessed she'd heard correctly all right. The people on the other end now knew she was there, and they did not seem too happy about it.
She finally took a moment to examine the room she was in now. In the flurry of fear and flight surrounding the mysterious detonation, she had lost track of where she was. She had been too busy trying not to get killed to really care.
The room was similar to the last one, but this one had screens covering most of one wall. As of the moment, the screens were dark, and she could see an ancient-looking computer thing connected by a thick cable to the largest screen. The lights that would indicate power levels were off, and so was just about everything in this room.
Then, when she really could have done without it, the impulse came again. That crazy urge to press a button, any button, and see what would happen.
At this point, it would have been so easy to just open the door at the other side of the room, and though she didn't know this, she would have found herselft in a long corridor leading to a secret exit in the complex's parking garage. But instead, she chose to push a button.
It was just her luck that for the second time that day, she hit a power button.
"System startup initiated" boomed a robotic voice from somewhere near the ceiling. "Please enter password."
Crud. Exactly what she needed. "Drat!", she yelled aloud.
"Password invalid. Please try again."
"What?! I didn't even touch the-"
"Password invalid. Are you sure you are not an imposter?"
"Wait a second..."
"Password incorrect. That was your final attempt. System shutting down..."
"Oh, you have got to be kidd-"
"Self-defense protocol activated."
"Uh-oh..."
Sadly, Ana would fail to finish her sentence, mainly due to the obnoxiously sweet-smelling gas which had started seeping out of a nearby air vent. Ana groaned as she blacked out, also for the second time that day, but with a different question in mind.
What was it with power buttons and unconcsiousness today...?

    Useful review book

Cuts out a lot of the bloat that textbooks carry and allows you review the topics that are most pertinate to trignometry. My only problem is the formatting is a little weird if your reading it off a nook. Some of the examples are impossibly small to read and changing the font size doesn't make a difference since they are saved as images. Very few of the examples ar
e like this however, its just mildly iritating when it is. Overall good product
