Emile to story

    Holy cow! I was expecting some stupid and horrible story like many others on the nook but this was actually good! Grea description, flow, grammar, body, and character. All I can say give ana a teensy bit more emotion. Make her surprised. Bt it is the forst chapter so that can be expected. I love it!

    Chapter 1- A Remote

    When Ana opened the oddly shaped door at the back of the coat closet, the last thing she'd been expecting to see was a remote. In fact, she hadn't expected there to be a door at the back of the closet at all. Her family's new apartment, which Ana was exploring for the first time since their move, had not seemed at all like the kind of place where you could find a hidden door, or anything out of a story, for that matter. It had been a bit of a dissappointment, actually, to have such an interesting door lead to nothing but a large greyish remote, most likely left behind by the apartment's previous occupants.
Ana sighed and picked up the remote, deciding that she may as well try guessing what it had been for. She shut the tiny door behind her, then headed down the hall and plopped down in her bedroom to take a closer look at it.
Now that she saw it up a bit closer, it seemed a lot more interesting. The markings on the buttons didn't look like english, but instead like some strange form of writing she'd never seen before. She wondered what it was supposed to mean, realizing she couldn't even identify the basic controls. Then she saw one mark that caught her eye with it's shape. A not-quite-finished circle with a line through the opening at the top. A power symbol...which meant this was the 'on' button!
On impulse, Ana jabbed at the button a few times, pointing in random directions to see what it would turn on. The she heard a robotic-sounding voice speak from seemingly nowhere. Then she realized it was from...the remote? The voice repeated its message;
"Welcome, agent Z."
