One witch, one cat shifter. Add one wolf. Blend. Safety glasses recommended.
Renee Parcell loves her life. Her smoothie/coffee cart business is successful, and she’s deeply in love with her boyfriend, Galen. He makes her laugh, he’s gainfully employed, and he satisfies her as only a sexy cat shifter can. He even puts the toilet seat down.
Yet they both sense something in the air. An anticipation that leaves them both unsettled.
Tall, blond and gorgeous Jack Meyers, Enforcer of National Pack and one of the most beautiful men Renee and Galen have ever seen, stumbles into Renee’s life and the riddle of their expectation is solved—Renee is Jack’s mate. What surprises them all is when the three of them touch, magick creates an unexpected triple bond of witch, cat and wolf.
Even as they learn to navigate the steamy intricacies of their bond, a threat looms over Renee. First in the form of resurrected memories, then in the shape of darker magicks someone is aiming at her. Set on stealing her inherent powers—even her life.
Renee can stand to lose almost anything, except her mates. But there seems to be no talking them out of laying everything on the line for her…

I had read the one and only review for this book when I initially considered purchasing it, I found the review personal at best. As a person who reads paranormal romance on a regular basis I understand that paranormal does not mean human, and as such are not expected to act human. Yes humans dont marry after a day of knowing eachother unless their crazy stars, but this is a fantasy. I loved this story and have since read more or Lauren Danes 'drivel' and found myself enticed at every turn. I would suggest reading this if you an appetite for a sexy and exciting story that will draw you in. Enjoy!

I was very, very disappointed with this book. So much so, that this is my first review on the Barnes and Noble website in the hopes to help others avoid it. From the description, it sounded like it would be an interesting paranormal romance. But it ended up being poorly written with actions taken by the characters that made no sense. The main character had a committed four year relationship with a guy. She meets another guy, they have dinner and then the next day he moves in with them. WHAT? That made no sense. Then supposedly within a day she's in love with him, but yet she doesn't no enough about him at that point to be in love? And on top of it the main character got on my nerves. The dialogue and the smex scenes also weren't good. And then to add insult to injury, after you've struggled to finish the book in the first place, the book doesn't actually have an ending that ties up the questions around the character's past. It's a cliffhanger that leaves everything hanging out there, so you have to read more of the author's drivel to get closure. Bottom line, this book was a waste of money. Avoid it like the plague.

The most important thing about this book, and this series of books. If you haven't read her Cascadia Wolves series, this book will likely seem really out there. But, for those of us familiar with those hunky wolves, this book was a super segueway into the Cats series. I was just a bit uncomfortable with Jack coming into an established bond, but Ms. Dane made it work and I am anxious for the next chapter in the de la Vega Cats series.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Fun and interesting characters with a story line lending itself worthy of continued reading through the series. Plus the two men to one main strong female character was H.O.T.!

I read the Cascadia Wolves series, this one flowed right into the Cats, if you read the Wolves and liked it you will love this new set, it follows Jack and some ref to his pack. If you have not read Cascadia Wolves then this book will feel a little farout. I cant wait for the next book.
