What can I say...these ladies are fantastic! All of their voices are great individually but I have always loved Linda Ronstant's voice and range of music. I have many of her albums, including her Spanish songs.

This combination of musical greats gives me chills to hear them harmonize together. Their music reminds me of listening to my family sing and harmonize together in the 60's and 70's and brings back many memories. Everytime I hear these songs, I think of growing up. I absolutely love this music.

I thoroughly enjoy this album of country/bluegrass chestnuts performed by the three most venerable singers in the genre. A true deam team of Parton, Harris and Ronstadt combines perfect solos, harmonies, and pickin in a collection which surpasses the wildest dreams you might have for such a combo. The whole package is nicely tied up in taste, for a present which delights again and again. I only wish they had listed the sidemen. Sounds maybe like The Seldom Scene, with Ricky Skaggs on fiddle, or maybe Emmylou's angel band. In any case, the pleasure of this album can't be described in words. BUY IT! PLAY IT! You will never be sorry, no matter what your favorite music. If you can own only one country music album, this is the one you should have.

Bringing together Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, and Linda Ronstadt for the album Trio was a truly inspired idea, and not simply because they were three of the finest voices in country and pop music at the time. While a gifted entertainer, Parton is also a business-savvy professional who will willingly set aside her gifts as a pure country singer if she thinks her audience would rather hear something like "Nine to Five." However, give her a stage for old-school country material, and she will always rise sublimely to the occasion. Similarly, some of Linda Ronstadt's finest work was on her early country-rock albums especially Heart Like a Wheel, but she seems to operate best ...
