Overview

Welcome to Nod's Limbs...

Home to seven covered bridges, an abandoned Waxworks, a remarkable sewer system...and the most mischievous twins you'll ever meet.

Edgar and Ellen live in a grim, gray house, where they spend their days pestering Pet (a hairy, one-eyed creature of indeterminate species), avoiding Heimertz (their mysterious, accordion-playing caretaker), and wreaking havoc on the hapless citizens of their syrupy sweet town (particularly their nemesis, Stephanie Knightleigh).

Edgar & Ellen is featured on Nicktoons Network, but their misadventures begin here with the first three books of the popular series.

Step into Edgar and Ellen's world. But tread carefully, won't you? Snares are everywhere. Includes the books Rare Beasts, Tourist Trap, and Under Town.

I'm 34 years old and hooked on this series. I highly recommend this series to any age group and to every library out there.

This box set contains the first three misadventures of the mischievous twins Edgar and Ellen who live in the idyllic town of Nod's Limbs. I bought it for my 10-year-old brother for his birthday and he enjoyed them all so much that I picked up the books after him to see what was so great. Even though I'm 23, I found the stories engaging and fun. It was refreshing to see children¿s stories that were so entertaining without a whole lot of over-moralizing. They also had a great range of vocabulary that kids that age may not have been introduced to yet, in sentences where the meanings could be understood. As a kind of second mom to my brother I really like to see him learning and having fun as he reads. These would be great books for kids who don't like to read too. I'm glad I got the box set for my brother because they are all fast paced and once you finish one, you can't help but want to go right on to the next. These books get my best recommendation for gifts for holidays, birthdays, etc. for any kid between the ages of 8-12.
