A very enjoyable book, one filled with history, love, romance, and the belief that things can happen when you believe in yourself. You will have tears of joy as well as tears of sadness as you read this. It was hard to put down and I highly recommend this book. Reading the other books in the series helps to understand the family dynamics, but you could read and enjoy it all on its own. Don’t miss this opportunity to read a great book.

I loved loved this whole series. There are five books in all. This was the son of Gastien he grew up not really liking his father. Tristen did not like how his fater took art first and not him and his mom. When he got older and he found out himself by designing buildings how ur art can take u away into another world he wish he would have been a bettwr son. The ppl in the book were so real Caddy is an amazing writer even the details were great. I actually learnrd alot about history in them all. Please start with the first book and read them all. They are weal worth itWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

In Tristan Michael: Bloodline of Passion, we pick up sometime after the end of book two. Here we find Tristan has grown up to be a successful adult with a wife and a family. He has forgiven his father for his lifestyle but still is certain that nothing could ever make him act like him. That is until he starts feeling the urgent whisper that has been telling him that there should be more to his marriage in the bedroom department. I found myself grinning evilly and thinking to myself finally Tristan is going to get what he deserves. Vengeful much? Yes but if you’ve read my review of book two, you will remember how upset I was about Tristan’s actions at the end. YES it stayed with me for that long, which should tell you a lot about the deep emotional connection that Caddy Rowland forges between the readers and her characters.
Things are dark for Tristan when his very proper wife refuses to loosen up but they get even darker when tragedy strikes. Even my heart melted for Tristan and his plight and I found myself falling in love with his character all over again. Not as much as Gastien, but I found it in my own heart to forgive him and I even shed tears at the end. It takes a powerful writer to make a reader absolutely loathe a character for months, but it takes a master to make them fall in love again. This book can be read as a stand-alone but I strongly encourage you to read the other books to get the full effect. You’ll be glad you did.

I don't think Caddy will ever disappoint me and she has literally set almost impossible standards for herself. Her first book, Gastien, was so good I didn't think the story would get better in the second book. Caddy surprised me, she exceeded my expectations with books two and three.
I literally had tears rolling down my cheeks with certain parts of this story. I actually laughed so hard my husband looked at me like I was crazy at others. When I called the first book an "emotional roller coaster" I wasn't exaggerating and books 2 and 3 have most definitely followed suit.
Caddy Rowland is an EXCELLENT story teller. All of her books have been heart wrenching and impossible to put down. The story just grabs you from the very beginning and makes you feel like you are there with the characters watching the scenes take place rather than reading them.
I'm absolutely sure that book 4 will be just as amazing as the first 3 and I can't wait to read it!

“Tristan Michel: Bloodline of Passion” is the 3rd book in Caddy Rowland’s historic family saga. I was asked to review Tristan’s story since I’ve reviewed the previous two. There are several things that I grew to like about Tristan. In the last book (Gastien: From Dream to Destiny) he was nothing but a bratty child, but he grew into a good man. Tristan is wonderfully talented, a good father, a hard worker, and much more faithful than his father. I hate to compare books and characters, but if I don’t how do I know why I like one better than the other! Whereas the first two books in the series (Gastien: The Cost of the Dream and Gastien: From Dream to Destiny) captivated me and where emotionally engaging, this one wasn’t. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good read but I’d have to look Tristan in the eye and say “That’s not how your daddy did it”=) Gastien’s story was so brilliant because he was willing to do anything to achieve his dreams. I felt that because Tristan’s dreams became a reality so easily, his story was more about sating his raging libido. His main focus was experiencing raw, wild sex and he just wasn’t faced with the hardships that his father faced. Tristan did come up against one unforeseen and devastating life event but it wasn’t enough to make me cheer for him like I did Gastien. The lack of chemistry between Tristan and Manon also made the story less engaging. I didn’t feel Manon was the best match for Tristan. She’s a frigid, God fearing, prude. I never, both in reality and books, think it’s okay for a man to hit or cheat on a woman but when Tristan slaps Manon all I thought was, “It’s about time!” I felt the same when he finally cheated on her. I was completely understanding of his actions. He was loving and tried to spark a passion in their marriage but she was an unwilling pain. Half way through the story Tristan finally came alive. He started having fun and of course gave into his sexual fantasies. I really liked Billie and felt, even with their vast age difference, she was a much better fit for him than Manon. The ending was predictable and yet had some shocks. I ultimately knew, based on my knowledge of American history and the fact that all throughout the book Tristan kept gushing about how wealthy he was, what he would encounter. I give “Tristan Michel: Bloodline of Passion” 3/5 stars. I highly recommend this series as a whole. Gastien’s life story will pull readers in and you’ll want to continue reading. I’ve become very attached to Gastien and look forward to his daughter’s story. I’m hoping his legacy will end happier than it began. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Tristan doesn't want to be like his father, and tells Gastien he doesn't want to see him again. Tristan knows nothing could ever make him follow in his fathers footsteps. Soon after Tristan and his wife, Manon move to New York and Tristan becomes very successful but, he knows something is missing, a desire deep within that isn't being satisfied by his wife. While in Chicago he meets Billie, a luscious woman that gives him the thrill he's been longing for. He decides to divorce his wife and start a life with Billie, but little did he know that life with Billie would not be what he had hoped for.
This is the third book in this series, and it is breath taking. They was so many twists and surprises in it, it takes you on a ride and doesn't stop until the last page. I loved all three books and can't wait for the next one.
