About the Author

William Robert Stanek has been a writer for over 30 years. His children's picture books are popular with kids of all ages and he often gets letters to Buster and Lass from children all over the world. His children’s books teach preschool skills, kindergarten basics, and elementary school lessons with gentle humor and good-natured wisdom.

Robert served in the U.S. Armed Forces as an intelligence specialist and later, during the Persian Gulf War, as a combat flyer. When the war was over, Robert set out to get the many books he'd written published and began work as a writer for various publishers and popular magazines. After his son was born, Robert decided to write humorous children's books that his son and other children could read and enjoy. His first published children's book was called Visit Dad and Mom at Work. It was about a family of bees and their friends who lived in a BIG little placed called Bugville.
