It took only one look for Genna Hastings to make up her mind about her new next-door neighbor, J. J. Hennessy. She knew his type all too well: Jared Jay Hennessy was tall and handsome, a man who thought he was God’s gift to women. From the pink flamingos dotting his front yard to the all-night boozy barbecues, he threatened to disrupt Genna’s peaceful summer off from teaching. But beneath his carefree smile and teasing nature, J.J. was a man as serious about the future as he was about Genna. He’d come to this quiet Connecticut town to change his life, and he challenged Genna to help him become Mr. Right. It was a challenge she knew she’d be smart to refuse . . . and one J.J. knew she couldn’t resist.

This book had my family checking on me to see if I was okay! I was tempted to share some of the funnier dialogue between the two main characters. The characters were so easy to like and understand. I read this is one sitting and truly recommend it as a book to take your mind off whatever else might be happening. I'm saving it to read again! This author hasn't disappointed yet.

This is romantice escapism at it's best. You've already seen all these people in other books, just in different clothes and different times. This is relaxing, laughing out loud reading and should be saved for the day your hair didn't work, you spilled the coffee, and the cat peed on your shoes! Buy it and wait . . . the day will come!

I had never read any books by Tami Hoag until I purchased The Trouble with JJ. I set time aside just to read before going to bed. I love sports and it had just the right amount of romance.

I have read my share of romantic books. but this one i couldn't keep it down. it was to funny. they should start witting romance books like this, instead of the dramatic. this one i couldn't keep the grin off my face and laughing. the eccentric man is something you don't hear about ever. how he wins over the woman that he knows he is his true mate. but she has been burned before and he has to woo her. it is truly to funny how he puts the humor into the relationship.
This was the first book i read from Tami Hoag, but it will not be my last. i just hope that her writing style is the same and that i can't stop the laughing! I recommend this to anyone who is down and is need of a major pick me up! You won't stop the grin eating up your face and that is a guarantee.
