What happens when a one-night stand lands on your work doorstep and refuses to go away? More to the point, what happens when you don't really want him to leave at all? Susannah Quinn, fresh from college, returns to her small hometown to work in the local police department. But she's a paper pusher and a frustrated one at that. When the opportunity arises to go undercover with handsome FBI agent D.E. Hogan, the aforementioned one-nighter, she jumps at the chance. But much to her chagrin, she finds herself masquerading as Hogan's wife and sharing a hotel room with him. And so ensues an engaging mystery that will have you turning the pages. Although The Trouble With Love is laced with humor and sensuality, it's also a poignant tale of forgiveness and redemption and knowing when to let go. Our heroine finds her happily ever after, but not before she faces the ghosts of her past and accepts the future that can be hers. Having read and greatly enjoyed Ms. Reeves' novel, Just One Look, I was looking forward to picking up a copy of her newest book. I was not disappointed. Do yourself a favor; download a copy. You won't be disappointed either.

I love Joan Reeves' writing and The Trouble With Love is pure page turning escapism. Susannah Quinn and Hogan make quite the undercover team - undercover on assignment and undercover in bed! Joan has created a wonderful, fun group of secondary characters who are just as 'real' as Susannah and Hogan. This battle of the sexes romp is entertaining, funny and sensual - you won't be disappointed!
