Overview

Troubled Waters offers poaching, murder and intrigue in the adventure-filled world of commercial diving.

Diving for sea urchins is a competitive business, and Mickey Sutter knows some of the divers are hoping she'll quit after losing her husband in an automobile accident. Don't hold your breath. She's tougher and far more stubborn than most people realize. With her nephew on board as crew, Mickey pilots Perseverance toward Neah Bay, located on the northwest tip of Washington's Olympic Peninsula. She's ready for opening day of the season, but nothing prepares her for finding the body of a good friend—dead in the bottom of his fish hold. The Coast Guard and local police treat his death as an accident, but Mickey is bothered by some unexplained details and starts her own investigation. When her snooping turns up evidence of poaching, she reports it to the proper authorities. The next morning, she finds a threatening note on her boat, warning her to mind her own business. Mickey is furious, and it fuels her growing suspicion that one of the poachers murdered her friend. Convinced she knows who did it, the search for proof almost gets her killed.

A Compelling Mystery that Keeps you Hooked

Troubled Waters is a wonderful mystery book that allows even the non-experienced to gain an understanding of joys and trials of working on the ocean. While gaining a better understanding of sea urchin diving, the mystery quickly unfolds and hooks the reader. From the moment Micky Sutter decides to explore some unanswered questions Troubled Waters is impossible to put down. This is an exceptional novel by Donna Ferguson and I can hardly wait until the next mystery in this series comes to print.

A must read for anyone who loves mysteries

I read Troubled Waters from cover to cover in one sitting for it made me feel that I was really a part of the story. Mickey is a great character; I loved her and was cheering her on from the very beginning. Can¿t wait for the next book in the series to see what Mickey gets herself into next time. This is a must read for anyone who loves mysteries as I do.

Troubled Waters makes for great reading

I stayed up reading Troubled Waters and finished at 2 in the morning. It was very well written and moved along at a comfortable speed. But most of all, it kept my interest. I look forward to finding out what's in store next for Mickey and Colin.

    Powerful Book

Enjoyed the story very much. Not a book you want to put down and finish later. Looking forward to the next. Thank you for a great book.
