This sound track is very dramatic and evocative of the battle of Troy. Horner's song, Remember, is captivating Josh Groban's rendition of "Remember" is FANTASTIC!!!! I think the boy has another hit!

James Horner can do BETTER always, he's one of the best composers in the world and I'm his fan number one, but this time he disappointed me.

I love this CD, I am a HUGE Josh Groban fan, and I must say that Remember me is absolutely fabulous and now my favorite song. And to top it all off it completely sums up this movie, which is also fabulous. WOW! (GO JOSH!)

The Troy movie soundtrack is exotic, dramatic at times, but with massive drum beats and a classical music kind of sound, that is usually heard in epic historical movies. I love the chants in the Troy soundtrack, and the chants and classical music has a North African / Mediterranean kind of sound and flavor. Since I am talking about the music of Troy, I would like to add a few comments about the movie Troy. I thought Troy was an exciting movie, sad in certain scenes, but, good battle / fight scenes, that I haven't seen in any of my favorite movies about warriors. Great Cast, especially Peter O'Toole, Sean Bean, and Orlando Bloom. I know Brad Pitt's "Achilles" was the main focus in the movie, along with the forbidden romance between Helen ( Diane Kruger ) and Paris ( Orlando Bloom ), but in my opinion, Eric Bana's "Hector" gave the stand out performance in the Troy movie. I felt depth, wisdom, vision, spirituality, responsibility, maturity, and good ethics in Hector's character, in which Eric Bana brought out all of those qualities in his Troy performance. The love and devotion that Hector had for his wife, son, brother, and father were memorable scenes in Troy.I really enjoyed watching and studying the character "Hector" in the movie, along with seeing the beautiful Malta / Mexico Scenery throughout the entire film. I would like to hear from other Females, 24 years and older, from around the world, who enjoy watching historical movies, or Are fans of Orlando Bloom and Eric Bana, or enjoy history, movies, music, or travel. My name is Suzanne, and I am from the United States. My e-mail address is: skywatcher171@yahoo.com Please, NO Spam and NO Junk E-Mail!! I hope, to hear from someone soon.

Such a good movie, deserves a great composer, a wonderful score, and a beautiful song. This cd is worth for it's ancient sounds and Josh Groban.

I loved the movie, saw it twice and loved every bit! Soundtrack rocks! I have it and listen to it like many times a day. Fave song is "Remember" or "Remember Me" however it is. Josh Groban is excellent as a singer, he rocks, and so does everything else

After Gabriel Yared's score was unceremoniously binned, James Horner had roughly a month to weave a musical tapestry for this ancient epic. And a fine job he did do! The opening build of "The Greek Army & It's Defeat" is stunning. Sadly, what could've been a five-star score is cut down by copying 'The Hans Zimmmer / Howard Shore Modern Epic Score-card'; y'know, synths, ethnic wailing and a borderline-morose love theme. But at least Horner copied the best in the business and it is exscusable due to the lateness of his hiring. Not a patch on his work for 'Star Trek: Wrath of Kahn' or the brilliant 'A Beautiful Mind', Horner still manages to deliver an engaging score. Well worth listening too.

If you are familiar with Prokofiev you will notice one melody from "The Battle on Ice from Alexander Nevsky" littered all over the place within this sound track. Although I enjoyed the CD and still do, I think it is absurd that he doesn't give credit for his main melody to Prokofiev. Without which the sound track would have had no punch. The strange thing is that "Composer" for the Incredible Hulk did the same thing and from the same piece. One has to wonder if there are any truly origional composers these days. I guess it's all about making a buck the easiest way possible.

It may be hard to beleive, but this soundtrack is almost as bad the the movie it was written for. The vocals sound like moaning (where they are definitely NOT supposed to), and the music overall is repetative and dull. Please, don't waste your time or money.

I thought hte ssoundtrack was as good as the movie. That song "Remember Me" is an amazing song. This sond touched my heart with the words and Josh Groban's voice. All the songs are as good as the movie itself.
