Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Short, bland paragraphs attempt to explain the jobs that truck drivers carry out daily. Because this is an early reader book the text is vague and lacks interesting detail. Each page discusses one aspect of a truck driver's job, daily tasks and/or training. A photograph accompanies each driver carrying out a particular task or using a particular piece of equipment. Except for the pictures of trucks, which are few, this book would be not hold the attetion of young children who want to learn about truck drivers. It is part of the "Community Helpers" series. 2001, Bridgestone Books, $17.26. Ages 2 to 5. Reviewer: Trina Heidt
