Natasha pens "True Grime 2: Angel Maker" with strong well developed characters that you will find yourself relating to. A totally original plot that had a few bumps along the way, but once you got the hang of it, it will smooth out for you. A good paranormal sci-fi read that is filled with action and suspense. *4 Stars*

I’ve been fortunate of late with paranormal reads - there has been an increase in the new ideas, new configurations and even new mixes of paranormal creatures, situations and plots. Natasha Deen’s True Grime 2: Angel Maker is following in that line of ‘new’ with an innovative and wholly entertaining read.
With a completely relatable heroine in Aponi, we meet a young woman who is deeply scarred by emotional wounds of the past, but struggling to attain some measure of peace and respect from her coworkers. What shines is the relatable human emotions that emanate from each character we encounter, and the humor with which the characters interact and react to one another. Set in a world that is artfully crafted and described with familiar and fantastical objects intermingled to allow the reader’s imagination to grasp onto and delve into the story.
Although there is a ton of information provided and presented throughout the story, there were only a few instances when it felt overwhelming, but that feeling also seemed to mirror the protagonist’s emotions of the time, which added more impact to the story. Aponi’s desperate search and effort to belong to something, a feeling denied her as a foster child will resonate with readers, and the true emotional ups and downs will keep you turning pages hoping for her happy ending.
I received an eBook copy from the author for purpose of honest review for Full Moon Bites tours. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

True Grime 2: Angel Maker is another winner by Natasha Deen. Deen has a unique, signature voice that comes through loud and clear in all her stories. Aponi is a fabulous heroine--slightly inept but completely lovable. With vivid imagery and compelling prose, Deen has created a colorful, engaging world filled with true to life characters that make you feel like you're watching it all unfold on the big screen. Along with Deen's humor, her writing conveys a touch of poignancy that reminds us no matter how many times we laugh, her stories and characters have depth...and human emotions that can't be ignored. Her bullied-as-a-child, orphaned protagonist is desperately searching for a place to belong. And, as we get to know her and fall in love with her, we find ourselves wanting it for her just as badly. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
