    Excellent Resource

    I got a lot out of this book. It offers complex ideas about well-being in an organized and readable way. Like other books I've read in this category, there are many East meets West themes such as spirituality integrated with psychology and interior evolution as the first step in cultural evolution. What sets this book apart is the way it separates mainstream assumptions about compassion from more effective ways to express love. Also unique is its theory about twelve dimensions of nourishment, which is a central idea of the book. This is a fresh and compelling strategy for wholeness and wellness and I'm already putting many of its principles into practice.

    As for readability, True Love has a narrative style and learning aids (charts, exercises, anecdotes) that make it accessible and interesting for the casual reader, and because of its complexity and scope, I think it could also be a reference for courses on integrative medicine and holistic therapy. Although I was familiar with many of the general concepts, I was surprised and impressed with how things were put together and where they led me. All in all, I found this book to be an excellent resource.
