Overview

All work and no play…

…would make Jason Montgomery a very happy man. Ever since his brother had married a woman who worked for their company, Jason has been walking around fending off the unwanted advances of all of the single women in his employ. Now, with a make or break business expansion in the works, the last thing he needs is a hands-on assistant who wants to get her hands on him!

For three years Maggie Barrett has happily hid in the shadows of Montgomery’s. After dealing with her own unwanted advances from her previous employer, staying under the radar was working just fine for her. But now she’s thrown into the spotlight as Jason’s assistant because he believes her to be a safe choice because she’s married.

The only problem?

She’s not.

Working in close proximity wasn’t supposed to be an issue. The lines of their relationship were clearly defined. But when a mutual respect turns into a mutual attraction how will Maggie explain that the only thing holding Jason back was just a little white lie?

Book two in The Montgomery Brothers Trilogy, “Trust in Me” is a 45,000 word contemporary romance novella. See where it all began with Lucas and Emma’s story in book one, “Wait for Me”.

Meet the Author

Contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, “Jordan's Return”, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.
Her second book, a holiday novella titled "The Christmas Cottage" climbed the Amazon charts and peaked at number ten on the Best Sellers in Women’s Fiction on Christmas Eve 2012 in books and number 116 in Kindle books. Watching the numbers rise and fall was a daily roller coaster ride but definitely an exciting one!
The follow-up, “Ever After” was not a planned book; the response to “The Christmas Cottage” was so great that fans of it begged to know Ava’s story. It was something that was planned for a future book but due to the many inquiries, it was moved up to be the next story written.
“The Montgomery Brothers” series is the story of brothers Lucas, Jason and Mac; three bachelors whose father is desperate to see them all married and happy. His behind-the-scenes matchmaking has been fun to write and these three books will have you sighing with thoughts of happily ever afters. “Wait for Me” is Lucas and Emma’s story and was released in May 2013; “Stay With Me” is Mac’s story and is due out in August 2013. I hope you enjoyed Jason and Maggie’s story with “Trust in Me”.
When she's not working on a new story or editing the ones that are in progress, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, blogging, playing way too many games of Scrabble on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 23 years and their two sons in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

Great follow up to Wait for Me. This book focused on Montgomery brother Jason and his quest for just getting through a big business project without having someone hitting on him. Seems he's had a problem with that since his brother Lucas married his assistant, Emma. There was great dialogue and conflict and definitely heat between Jason and Maggie. This is a traditional contemporary romance and it was nice to read a book that wasn't only about sex but that dealt with an actual relationship outside of the bedroom.

Jason and Maggie make a great business team and even greater romantic team. like any other relationship there are things that don't come out right away, there are always problems in relationships when emotions are involved this one being no different. I'd say it's a book I would recommend.

    Short and Sweet!

This novella is short, sweet and sassy as well as sexy.. A perfect read for one sitting... Loved it and recommend it... This is book two of three about the Montgomery brothers. Wait for Me is Book 1 and is also a quick and quirky read... Book 3 will be out this fall... Ms. Chase is an excellent author.. Good story lines and very real and likable characters... Read and Enjoy!

    Ok

Did not like it as much as the first book. Female character seemed like an easy person who wanted to be with her boss. Seemed like author kept saying male boss did not want a single secretary and yet at the first oppurtunity he and his secretary did a little foolong around even when he thought she was married yuck....and when he found out she was single secretaryand him screwed. Really....

    I Also Recommend:

What a great book Two in the Series., Love this Montgomery Famil

What a great book Two in the Series., Love this Montgomery Family and love the family interaction ...Oh love that
William The Dad is always playing Devils advocate in his son lives, he does it in such a way that is adorable innocence
and in such a genius way that it makes you laugh... can't wait to see what he does in the third book Stay with Me about
his older & first born son Mac (coming in august)...maybe after the Montgomery Son's have there stories told maybe
William can tells his, which would be nice to complete the series..Again what an enjoyable read it was truly another
page turner for me just like the first one.. Great story line (again) and executed perfectly. great characters new and
old., tasteful passionate scenes (again could be hotter) Over all great book the I recommend and again just like
    the first a must read :) <3

oh and one thing that kinda brother me a little., in this book they kept referring and comparing the relationship of
Jason & Maggie to Lucas & Emma .,about dating his assistant .. & yes I understand that Lucas at first felt a little
uncomfortable because he part own the company and that Emma was still employed by that same company., but they
kept saying in the book his assistant which is not true., because Emma was not Lucas assistant she was William's
his dad assistant so he didn't fall in love with his assistant per say he fell in love with his dad's assistant so it was
different and I don't think it was fair to compare the two different relationships...ok now that I got that off my chest.,
which I feel needed to be said because it shouldn't take away anything from the two main characters which are
Jason & Maggie because they were really strong and great characters and that deserve there time in the spot light
so that said ..I don't think it had any impact on the story which was still great and enjoyable  thanks and go read
this awesome love story  :) <3

    too rush for the end.

the story started out really well, then it rushed to the end. the female character (i can't recall her name) is too forgiven, and the male one is too bleh... sorry but it was wasting money for this book.
