needed reminder for anyone going through a season of waiting

"No human being with breath in his lungs can say, "Difficulty has darkened my doorstep."' Jason Crabb openly shares his ups and downs in his book. He talks about the hard times he had when a teenager, surviving his parents divorce and the amazing experience he's had through performing as part of The Crabb Family. He talks about the miscarriages his wife had before giving birth to their two daughters. He makes the point that through this trial they've been able to connect with other couples who are going through the same thing. His wife is able to immediately identify with women who have had a miscarriage. "And because we walked through the same flames, these women realize that they can come through the fire too." Jason has recently made the decision to begin a solo career - a decision he didn't make lightly but knows it's the path God is leading him down. Every step of the way he gives all the glory to God. In the opening pages of the book, he shares his goal for sharing his story: "My hope is for you to see your story in these pages and to summon the courage to trust Him in the midst of the fire, knowing that He will always be found at your side, even when you are surrounded by flames.before long you will come out of the fire."

I loved this book! Jason makes so many good points all throughout, reminding me of God's love for me and that He has a plan for me. It was a needed reminder for me and anyone else who is going through a season of waiting. He talks about God's faithfulness: "He is a faithful Daddy always ready to put an arm around your shoulder to say, "Son, daughter, you're the apple of My eye. You're right where I want you to be. Keep on walking. I'm right here beside you - and I always will be."
