I found this book to be very informative and educational. Ron Rhodes did a wonderful job in defining all aspects of the truth about mediums & the psychic phenomena for me.

I was hoping for some answers with this book, but instead I found he swept alot under rug just because he thought others supernatural experiences weren't real b/c they sensed something or saw something, like he needed hard evidence to justify other's encounters. It's hard to explain to someone what you experience and have them accept it if they've never gone through it themselves, and he's obviously never walked in others shoes before in this matter so I feel there's no merrit to most of what he's written. And to say that every encounter of a spitit/ghost is the devil, from what I've experienced I have to disagree and am open enough to know that we truly don't know what's awaiting on the otherside until it's our turn.

The author, a former collegue of Dr. Walter Martin (so you know the information is thorough)has laid out an excellent presentation with this book. For those who have been dealing with the paranormal, however, the book spends a great deal of ink on defining terms and presenting New Age philosophies which may already be familiar to you. The approach is similar to the late Walter Martin's in that it is very detailed and well-documented with notes. It is a particularly good resource if you need to find quick quotes from Sylvia Browne, James van Praagh, John Edward and others. All in all, an excellent resource presented in a very understandable systematic format.

This book has an agenda from the begining. The author is closed minded. If your looking for an open minded explanation, dont read this book!
