A Brave, Honest and Educational Read

Not many of us would likely have the bravery to bare the truth about painful secrets of our past the way Deborah King has in "Truth Heals". This is not a sensational tell-all to punish the people in her life who caused her pain, but rather to show us how destructive it is to keep these secrets hidden inside (especially from ourselves) and how "what you hide can hurt you" - physically, mentally and spiritually. Deborah writes: "Everything that happens to us is stored in our bodies and the energy fields surrounding them. Ultimately, health and healing happen only when a body/mind/soul wants, needs, and is ready to face the truth. Even after a lifetime of suppression, a body/mind/soul that is willing to release painful secrets can heal itself, a family, even a nation. What ultimately saves us is what we were certain would kill us - the truth." This book is written in a simple, easy to understand style. Even people who have never heard the term "chakra" will soon understand what it means and how vital healthy chakras are to our health. Whether you are new to the world of energy healing or deeply immersed in it, "Truth Heals" is a little gem to have in your possession. Two years ago for the first time I heard Deborah speaking on her Hay House Radio show. Something drew me to her words and two weeks later I found myself at her workshop, knowing nothing about energy medicine. Quite honestly, her teachings have changed my life - perhaps even saved my life. Looking back, it was synchronicity that I happened upon her show that day. I have no doubt that reading this book will have a similar effect on many, many people.

Truth Heals: What You Hide Can Hurt You

Truth Heals, is a powerful book that helps us understand that sometimes what appears to be a physical problem may actually be an emotional one that has been suppressed or forgotten, and then is brought to our attention with physical aliments.

Deborah King,J.D. uses her own experiences, client histories and celebrity profiles to demonstrate how anyone can release deep-seated layers of denial, fear and anger in order to heal the body. This book is very informative and easy to use. It can certainly be an asset for anyone who is seeking a way to free themselves from the pain of the past.

Bravo to Deborah for having the courage to not only say the trut

Bravo to Deborah for having the courage to not only say the truth, but to put it in print and let us all learn from her truth. I found her true story so relevant and important in seeing the point she is making about healing ourselves emotionally, physically and mentally. I found her client/student example stories to be extremely helpful - I am sure I saw myself and my own family and friends in at least a few of those stories - and really appreciated being explained how this energy plays out and can wreck our bodies. It is so so very important to take care of our whole selves, and Deborah helps give us the tools to be able to recognize how to do so. I am trying very hard to live my truth everyday, as Deborah recommends and am already seeing changes happening for the better. I think everyone can benefit from reading this book. It can change your life too.

    Healing The Soul

I gave this book 3-4 stars in the areas of educational, informative and possibly life changing, as i felt that for many it could be the critical turning point for those who are suffering past or present emotional blocks, or at least feelings that have been put aside or buried which definately puts a damper on spiritual, emotional, and even physical growth.Deborah King has given those in need of healing, that may feel alone or fearful in the face of stress, a knowledgeable guide that will take you out of the darkness and onto the path of your spiritual journey.

    Healing through the chakras

Most people don't want to look very closely at their painful pasts. But they probably don't realize those memories are still hurting them physically. In Truth Heals, author Deborah King explores how these experiences affect our energy centers and shows us how we can reverse their effects.

Focusing on each chakra (energy center), King shares some of her own childhood traumas and those of her clients. She explains how these might affect a person's health and emotional state today. Then she provides some thoughts on letting go in order to heal.

The reader doesn't need to be familiar with chakras in order to benefit from this book. King explains what they are, along with the kinds of illnesses that manifest in each. She encourages those being treated for a specific illness to continue to work with their medical practitioners, while also integrating some emotional work to help the body let go of disease.

Practical, helpful and uplifting, Truth Heals is a reminder that we are all that we put into our bodies - including our thoughts. Since we can change our thinking, we can also help reverse disease in our bodies. Anyone who wants to improve their health will find this book helpful in making positive changes.
