Imagine

A Year to the 2012 Presidential Election

Perfect Storm Atmosphere

Although change is in the air in many places around the globe, the United States of America is perhaps best poised among nations to significantly improve the lives of its citizens in the years ahead. With the convergence of advanced technologies that increasingly synthesize knowledge through interconnectivity; the widespread discontent with government; and the rising public anger over the stagnancy of economic opportunity; there exists a perfect storm atmosphere for creating positive, systemic, political change.

Broken Democratic Principles

Unfortunately America today remains burdened by the persistent seeds of failure that have been sown upon itself through inadequate education, disastrous short-term government, self-serving politicians, and an apathetic, slumbering populace. This corrosive mixture of broken democratic principles has sadly resulted in many of the discouragingly poor conditions that exist in America today.

Presidential Election Year

Now that the pivotal 2012 Presidential election is just one year away, it is imperative that all citizens begin to think more intently about the future, and to demand answers to three of the most important questions concerning America in this Presidential election year, including: What is the plan for the nation?; Who will lead the nation?; And, in which direction will the nation go from here?

America Needs a Plan

In this cycle for the White House, the nation needs to hear much more about each candidate’s specific plan for the future, and far less about any past claims of greatness by any man or woman in the race. To restore hope and to advance to better economic times, America needs a plan with vision.

Comprehensive Action Plan

A new book entitled Truth Party: America’s Plan examines many of the critical issues of the future, and presents a comprehensive action plan designed to uplift the nation through building stronger and stronger generations. By attempting to isolate many of the underlying causes of today’s societal ills, the book expresses great hope for better days ahead through improved education, participation and articulation.

Vision for America

The ideas laid out in this book are specific and detailed to create a vision for America that quite possibly could develop into a future that is more magnificent than even most optimistically imagined. In these uncertain and turbulent times, every American that cares about their future should read this transformative plan to re-ignite America’s potential for greatness, and to re-invigorate the nation’s growth through opportunity.

Imagine an America that:

Has an education system that is the leader in the world;

Has a system of government that tells truth to the people;

Has a youthful generation that is valued, respected, and informed;

Has a citizenry that actively participates in strengthening the nation;

Has a system of leadership that plans the future for common good;

Is prosperous for all the people;

Pays its bills easily and is debt-free;

Is safe and secure without bankrupting the nation;

Meet the Author

A landmark education report entitled A Nation at Risk was released in 1983 declaring America’s system of education so appalling that it was like an act of war posed against itself. This dire call to action was unfortunately ignored by America’s leaders and still awaits a national response, but inspired this author to personally accept the challenge of improving American schools as one ordinary individual out of an authentic sense of patriotism, and a genuine concern for the future of the country. Now almost thirty years later, this solitary quest to make a significant difference through education by working to fix the nation’s schools has culminated into this simple book of solutions.
Along the way on this decades long journey, this author has voraciously studied the issue of education from both inside and outside the classroom to understand what America needs to do to meet the contemporary challenges the nation faces, and have schools perform up to the requisite task of fueling America’s dominance as a leader in the world community. This ongoing exploration of education has included a return to college to become a certified teacher, numerous rebuffed attempts to implement school reforms, experimentation with technology in teaching, and years of prodigious study of the news about reforming American schools. This book represents a compilation of what has been learned through those experiences, and how this teacher believes America’s system of education can be remedied today despite repeated feeble attempts in the past that have defied change.
Unfortunately the news about education has not been good over the past three decades, and shamefully seems to have even gotten worse rather than better. As A Nation at Risk warned, America would eventually suffer from the inadequacies of its schools, including diminished prosperity and dysfunctional government, and today conditions in this country reflect what had been forecast about education in this groundbreaking report almost thirty-years ago. This nation has been educationally asleep for decades, assuming that America’s preeminent role in the world would never be challenged despite the ominous message that A Nation at Risk communicated to the country.
The lessons learned from these decades of study have been presented here in this book to create a political movement to finally and forever fix the nation’s failing system of education.
