The characters in this new rock saga are more realistic and easier to connect to. Fans of the Sinners series will not be disappointed because the plot starts with two girls doing the one thing most of us only think of in fantasy: getting backstage! What follows is a hot and inventive romance.

Didn't care for the ending. Could have extended the story line a bit.

Try Me was a little more than I expected, and a lot shorter than I thought it was. Why yes, it was also pretty… steamy.
Melanie is dragged concert after concert by her crazy best friend Nikki in hopes to get backstage to meet her favorite bad, Sole Regret. Not an easy task to accomplish, but Nikki is set on stone. She wants to meet the lead singer, and so she will. Even if she has to uh, insinuate a few things to the guy sitting guard.
A few things here and there, and they are backstage. Only now Nikki can’t find the courage to talk to the guy, while Melanie has to suffer through a room full of tattooed guys she despises.
What’s the solution? Liquid courage. Always helps. Or maybe not.
Nikki gets what she wanted, but that means Melanie is left alone to face fear every time she sees a tattoo in front of her. That is until the only normal-looking guy in the room starts talking to her.
Normal looking? You say? I don’t think so.
Gabriel, aka Force, is the band’s amazing drummer. He may look like he has no tattoos or piercings… when clothed, but what happens when those layers of clothing aren’t there? Well, Melanie is set to find out.
Their chemistry is palpable, and before Mel can form a coherent thought they are already on their way to his hotel room. And what happens in that room… Man! I’ll just say it was oh-so-hot.
But then feelings get in the way.
Gabe’s life is on the road and a long term relationship would be hard to keep, but is he willing to try it with Melanie? Are they willing to set themselves to heartache just to find out what they might have together? You’ll have to read to find out.
Try Me was a fast and steamy read. In fact, most of the book was spent in Gabriel’s hotel room. *Cough* There was a scene that kind of creeped me out a little bit, that kind of thing just isn’t for me, but otherwise it was good. Short, but good.
I’m left wishing to know more about what will happen in the future, and how they’ll deal with their feelings and the fact that Gabe has to be on the road. I really hope the next books continue from where this left off, and if not, then well… I’ll have to read them and see what new stores they bring.

She already writes one of my favorite series featuring one amazingly hot rock band and she's now added this one to her repertoire. Try Me is the first in a new series and features the unlikeliest of couples. What starts out with a slow burn soon becomes super scorching in this HFN novella.
Melanie's always been the responsible one, helping her wild child friend at any given moment. Her friend's latest obsession is the hard rock band Sole Regret and Melanie ends up as part of the plan to meet the band. Melanie's soon left on her own and meets the one seemingly normal-looking guy backstage, finding herself unexpectedly attracted to him. For a girl who's scared of men with tats and piercings, once Gabe Banner starts undressing, she quickly changes her opinions. Melanie feels a bit naive and unworldly at first, she almost acts like a virgin. Once she's presented with the temptations that Gabe has to offer, her inhibitions are quickly shed which leads to quite a few erotic scenes with some unique methods being employed courtesy of Gabe's interesting pasttime.
Gabe is one sexy beast, not at all the arrogant rock star that another of his bandmates is. He has hidden layers that no woman until Melanie has bothered to look for. He's somewhat embarrassed by his scholarly beginnings but Melanie is enthralled by every aspect of him and soon comes to relish what a genius can do in the bedroom. They make a wonderful couple, bringing out a different side to each other. They never realized that they wanted something permanent until it's time for them to part, which leads to a promising future once they decide to take a chance.
There are lots of steamy encounters entwined throughout the story that give a believable feel to the rock star lifestyle. Sexual interludes that are smokin' hot on the erotic scale made my heart frequently race. Not only is Gabe drool-worthy but there's four more unexpectedly attractive band members oozing sex appeal, along with an overinflated ego or two, waiting for their stories to be told. The glimpses we get of each show men with emotional issues just waiting for someone to help heal. I'm definitely counting down the days to rejoin this band on tour when the next installment in this series is released and recommend this to fans of Ms. Cunning's other rock stars series.

I discovered Olivia Cunning before I started blogging, so this is my first official review for one of her books. I'm so excited! Olivia is my favorite Erotic Author. She always comes up with the sexiest guys and most inventive and original "ideas". She actually writes a story too. It's not all sex. Her characters have substance. And what could be better than reading about sex? ROCK STAR SEX! This is definitely OC's specialty. Ok, I'm done with my fangirl spiel...on to the story!
Since this book is a novella, it's short, so the story needed to get going pretty fast. Well, I wasn't disappointed. As I expected, I fell in love with Gabe. Gabe is the drummer of Sole Regret, who is covered in tattoos, but he's also a brainiac. He has an "inventive" mind and is a total sweetheart. Not to mention that he is sexy as sin. I'm very curious to learn more about his character and his background.
I also really liked Melanie. She's the friend that sticks by you, even when you make stupid mistakes. She's a bit naive and unfamiliar with the world of rock and I loved that she didn't know who Gabe was when they first met. It made their relationship feel more genuine. I truly can't wait to see how their relationship develops. I really hope they can make it work.
On to the sex. Ok, seriously...Olivia Cunning is the master of writing mind blowing sex scenes. Just when I think nothing could surprise me anymore, she does it. Of course all of the sex in this book is hot, but there is a particular part near the end that made me melt into the couch. I could hardly catch my breath. Serious stimulation overload, people. I mean that in the most heavenly way. I really wish I could tell you all about it, but it's just something you need to read on your own. Preferably with "help" near by. It was jelly bones, stick your head in the freezer, ice down your shirt, and panty changing fantastic.
If you haven't read anything by Olivia Cunning, I insist that you check her out. I fell in LOVE with the Sinners on Tour Series and am waiting impatiently for book 3 in that series to release in November. In the meantime, I'm hoping to get to know more about the hot guys of Sole Regret!

A good story. I like Mel and Gabe together, but it felt like an incomplete book.

A great story about Melanie, a girl whom falls for Gabe, a tattooed musician. Melanie learned not to judge a book by it's cover. I love that she fell for him before she knew who he was. I was surprised that such a connection was written for them because i was worried that it couldn't be done through a one night stand senario. I feel in love with Gabe. I loved how he is a rock star so worried about impressing a girl. I loved how we saw Melanie get over her fears/preconcieved notions. I was so excited to find out they' re getting another book because i think Gabe is a romantic at heart and can't wait to see where their story goes....and the sex was hot hot hot!

I love Olivia cunning. The Sinners is like my favorite thing ever! This book was good, only major complaint was it was so short, she knows how to develop characters and really pull you into their world and of course provides plenty of mind blowing sex, so it was disappointing that it was so short, but still worth it.

Overview
Melanie has no desire to meet the members of the rock band, Sole Regret, but her groupie of a best friend gets them both backstage and then rushes off with the band’s lead singer. Left alone at an after party with a bunch of scary tattooed and pierced metal-heads, sheltered Melanie is ...
