Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"Rarely does one find a book with such prose. Flawless in both style and structure, it is rich in imagery and punctuated with light fillips of humor. The author manipulates her plot deftly, dealing with six main characters brought together because of a spring whose waters can bestow everlasting life. . .Underlying the drama is the dilemma of the age-old desire for perpetual youth." —The Horn Book

    say what??

Yes, imagine finding a fountain in the forrest that, if drank from, will give you eternal life. now imagine a family of hicks who live like some cult, trying to get a girl to drink the fountian so their son (or old man, depending on how you look at it) can have her. um.... it just felt wrong to me. It gets two stars only because maybe the creepy-factor was on purpose, I kept reading it, despite the almost constant shivers I got from it. Yeesh!

    I Also Recommend:

I loved this book in both English and Spanish. I'd recommend it for people of any and all age groups. A wonderful story! I fell in love with all the protagonists especially Jesse Tuck and Winnie Foster. I won't spoil the story for those who have yet to read this amazing book (my favorite by the way), but I will say that it was awesome! As mentioned before it is one of the best, if not the best, books I've read. It took me two days to read it only because I was doing other things as well, otherwise I could have easily read it in one sitting.

    ~Tuck Everlasting~

What a book! I have never been one to be known to love books, unless they could 'really' happen...in real life. That means if someone would have just told me about this book, and how a young girl named Winnie Foster meets this family, 'the Tucks' who will live forever, I would have lost a little bit of interest. But I didn't know what it was about...and I read it, and fell in love with this book. Its like magic when you are reading it. Anything can happen, and sometimes it does! Theres parts of the book people can relate to, especially kids, and there is a little romance, just to keep things interesting. I think this is one of those books that every household should have, and any child could read it AND enjoy it! =)

    Tuck Everlasting

Tuck Everlasting is the best book I have ever read!!! So far, cause I haven't finished it yet. My very outgoing teacher had us read it. I thought it would be boring, but to tell you the truth, it was awesome! Just to work on my reading comprihention(bad spelling), I'll give you some detail. A girl gets kidnapped, and she actually starts to feel safe with all 3 of them. Well theres 4 people altogether, the Tucks'. Mae, Angus, Jesse, and Miles. They tell Winnie or Winifred a secret that makes the climax get higher, and the man in the yellow suit who starts the trouble. Well, that's all for now. I can't wait to read the rest of it! As a matter of fact I'll read some of it...... right... now!!! Peace Everyone! Love Lindzey
