FRANCIS HAS BEEN TAUGHT WIDERNESS SKILLS BY A MAN NAMED JASON GRIMES. JASON GRIMES HAD RESCUED HIM FROM THE PAWNEES AND ESCAPED FROM THE COMANCHEROS.
