My first choice is Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. This book does get down to the bare bones of turbocharging without explaning everything in laymans terms. Hugh MacInnes is very knowledgable but comes up short in telling us what to do without using all the the technical terms. If you are pretty good at building cars and motorcycles and understand the technical jargon, then I would highly recommend this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Extremely informative; gives great info/advice on turbocharging pretty much any motor; either 4 or 2 stroke. The only thing he doesn't ocver is the rotary, which was still in the experimental stages with automakers back when this book was published. Extremely useful how-to/how-not-to info for anyone turbocharging their engine; peticularly if it's carberated. This is a must-read for any turbo newbie, and a very entertaining read for the seasoned veteran. HIGHLY RECOMENDEDWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
