After Howard Carter and his team discovered the tomb of Egyptian Boy King Tutankhamen (King Tut) with its dazzling treasures in the 1920s, theories about his death persisted. King Tut became the pharaoh of Egypt at the age of nine, but died by the age of 18 or 19. Theories regarding his death included disease or injury. Could his death perhaps have been a curse since others associated with the discovery of his tomb also died? A Contents page details the scope of the materials. A section titled "Egypt: Then and Now" gives comprehensive historical perspective to the era. The Glossary defines the relative terms. A "Bibliography, Read More, and Learn More Online" page provides sources of information for further research. The comprehensive Index allows easy navigation through the text. The age-appropriate text and graphic illustrations bring Egyptian history to life, and would be an excellent addition to the history curriculum.
