About the Author

As a reigning expert on Hollywoods social history, Laurie Jacobson has written four books, numerous documentaries and TV specials and countless magazine articles. For nine years, she served as head of development for legendary producer Jack Haley, Jr. In 2017, the Southern California Motion Picture Council presented her with their Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding literary contributions in the entertainment industry.

Laurie appears regularly on radio and television, including: E!, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, A&E, ID, History Channel, Discovery Channel, TVland and AMC. She appeared as an expert in Sunset Strip, an award-winning and star-studded documentary which premiered at Graumans Chinese Theater in 2012. In 2016, she hosted and wrote a new documentary, Haunted Sonoma County; and in 2017, she did the same for the sequel Haunted Wine Country. She makes her home there in the heart of wine country with husband Jon Provost in Santa Rosa, CA.
