Overview

Students launching into literary projects will want to start their research here. Representing 80 nations, 500 literary movements, and more than 3,000 writers associated with them, the Twentieth-Century Literary Movements Index directs users to entries in 28 standard literary dictionaries, encyclopedias, and handbooks.

Part I is a catalog of literary movements, groups, trends, schools, and tendencies. Each entry identifies the authors, artists, philosophers, and critics associated with the movement, then cites the reference sources that cover the subject. Part II lists authors, artists, philosophers, critics, and other literary figures and mentions the reference guides that cover each individual.
